Hampton Park Primary School encourages parents and community helpers and other volunteers to participate in classroom programs. Classroom helpers assist with Literacy and Numeracy
activities, excursions, camps and special activities where children are able to receive assistance individually or in a small group. We have a large team of helpers who are trained each year by our Early Years Literacy Coordinator to ensure our students receive high quality support.
The
Smart Start Prep Transition
Program is conducted in Terms 3 & 4 each year.
Kinder children visit the school from 11:45pm to 12:45pm and participate in a range of activities to familiarize themselves with school. While the children are involved in activities, parents can either leave the school or come to the staff room for some information sessions.
The Transition program ends with a Teddy Bears Picnic for the kinder children on
the State Orientation Day for the prospective year.
Hampton Park Primary School offers
Before and
After school care to parents requiring supervision of students out of school hours. Vacation Care is also provided.

The School Council at Hampton Park Primary School is responsible to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) and to its community. School Council makes policy in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
School Council meets each month and is made up of parents and staff.
There are 4 sub-committees of the School Council:
 |
Environment – maintaining the school’s buildings and grounds through working bees and implementing policies and procedures to make the school a safer and brighter place. |
 |
Education – developing policies that affect the curriculum and parent education. |
 |
Finance – managing the School Global Budget and funds raised from local sources. |
 |
Public Relations – fundraising and marketing for the school. |
Involvement in School Council or a sub-committee is a great way of helping the school and learning new skills. Your ideas and experience are always welcome. Parents are welcome to attend school council meetings.
