Teaching and Learning

The Hampton Park Primary School Teaching and Learning Model is used as a structure for the delivery of all curriculum programs.  The model was developed by staff after much research and consultation and is on display in all classrooms.  The different elements of the Teaching and Learning Model are outlined in our information booklet which you can access as a pdf document by clicking here.

In addition to the Teaching and Learning Model, Hampton Park Primary School has a very strong focus on improving literacy and numeracy results for all students.  The curriculum is designed to ensure students have access to learning programs which build on their current skills, knowledge and understanding.  All students in the school have an Individual Learning Plan which allows for their learning to focus on their particular learning needs.

The school follows the Victorian Curriculum as outlined by the VCAA which is the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

At Hampton Park Primary School, the delivery of the Victorian Curriculum is enhanced by an intensive literacy program for students in Grades 1 to 4 and Learning in Action, which is a unique program developed by the school.  Each of these programs is designed to provide students with practical and meaningful learning opportunities that build on skills learned every day in their normal classes.  We are proud of these programs and would be happy to provide you with more information about them, should you wish to visit the school and take a tour.  School tours are held most Thursdays during term time at 9:30am.  Bookings are recommended so we can confirm the availability of our Assistant Principal who generally takes these tours.  Please call the office on 9799 1440.
