Helping in the Classroom
We encourage parents to become involved in the school as parent helpers. We would love to have parents come into classes and listen to children read or assist in other ways in the classroom.
Parents are also welcome to assist in elective classes on Wednesday afternoons. If you have a particular craft or hobby that would be of interest to our students and are interested in being involved in running an elective with a teacher, please contact the school for more information.
If you are interested in assisting in the classroom your should contact your child’s class teacher or Mrs Mitchell who is at the school Monday to Thursday each week.
All adults working in schools require a Working With Children Check, which is a very simple process to go through. Other than the cost of a passport size photo, there is no cost to apply for a volunteers Working With Children Check and you can apply online here: http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/home/
