Physical Education and Health
The Physical Education curriculum at Hampton Park Primary School is engaging, full of fun and aims to improve the co-ordination and motor skills of young people. There is also a big emphasis placed on teamwork and sportsmanship, which incorporates some of the school values and gets students to work in teams effectively to achieve goals.
The motor skills covered in grades Prep-2 include running, dodging, kicking, striking, throwing and catching. These motor skills continue to be improved on through Grades 3-6, by challenging the students in sports that incorporate these skills, such as cricket, T-ball, basketball, netball, athletics, gymnastics, racquet sports and all football codes.
